Restaurant Recommendations
Rosso Rubino Trattoria
Small, family-run trattoria in the historic center. Handmade pasta, especially pici, and classic Tuscan cooking. Warm and intimate without feeling fancy.
Ristorante ai 4 Venti
Right on Piazza Grande. Traditional Tuscan food in a beautiful location, making it especially nice when you want to eat while staying in the heart of town.
Osteria Acquacheta
Rustic, lively and very casual. Famous for bistecca alla Fiorentina cooked over an open fire. Fun, energetic atmosphere and very different from the more refined restaurants.
Le Logge del Vignola | Special meal
The most refined option on this list. Modern Tuscan cooking based on seasonal ingredients, homemade pasta and an extensive wine cellar. It’s also currently listed by the Michelin Guide.
La Pentolaccia
Another great traditional option right on the Corso. Family-run, relaxed and known for pasta and simple Tuscan dishes. A good everyday lunch choice.
Porta di Bacco
A charming osteria and wine bar near the entrance to the historic center. Tuscan cooking with a huge wine selection and a slightly more polished feel.
La Vineria di Montepulciano | Casual
Great for an easy lunch, aperitivo or glass of Vino Nobile with something light to eat. Open through the afternoon too, which is useful when the traditional restaurants are between lunch and dinner.
